Cooking tips for old and young:based on a true story.
When making salsa in your lovely new food processor, make sure you wear gloves when you cut and prepare the jalapeno pepper.
If you do not think a good wash of your hands will do the trick, you may get a burning sensation on your hands and fingers. And then, if later you set down to eat your salsa and watch the episode of Big Love you missed, and you happen to rub your nose extra vigorously you may just get a strong burning sensation on the inside of your nose. And then, if out of frustration from the pain in your noise you happen to rub your eyes- they may swell shut from the pain, causing you to stumble about the kitchen on your way to the bathroom- knocking over chairs and further injuring yourself in your blind stupor. Worse still, perhaps later you will forget you made such an awful mistake, and you will be alone by yourself and feeling slightly naughty. Perhaps you will engage in certain "private activities" with yourself. And perhaps, just perhaps your tender parts may explode (though to be honest this may be a mildly pleasurable situation).
Wear gloves.
Wear gloves.
Wear gloves.
